PRE-IMPLANTATION GENETIC DIAGNOSIS (PGD- PGS- PGTa)

a biopsy is taken by embryos at the blastocyst stage so to determine before embryo transfer whether they have chromosomal abnormalities or a genetic inherited disease carried by either male or female partner

we thus select only normal embryos to be implanted and thus lead to the birth of a healthy baby

it is indicated:

• in couples/women with recurrent miscarriages
• in women over 40 years as chances of chromosomal abnormalities are increased
• in couples/women where one of them has a genetic inherited disease that may affect the health of the child
• in couples/women with repeated IVF failures
